Souls of the Wind is an adventure that lets players explore the interactions between wind, physics, and characters in the game. I have been working on this project part-time as a solo developer since September 2018.

Every part of the development process has presented its challenges, but diving into the technical aspects of the mechanics is what I love. At the heart of every platformer is a satisfying jump that feels good and makes intuitive sense. To test out the jump and modify its feel, I created a gym to analyze the tweaks I made.
When I wasn't programming I worked on pixel art for the characters and environments. 
Simultaneously working on programming a parallax effect in Unity while creating environment gave me an idea of how to create the art, and to what scale I should make it.

From programming to art, I've loved every minute of it. I have since continued creating art, making prototypes, and planning out the development of the game (with online tools like Trello), and strive to craft an experience players will love.
